Video game designers and developers are an important part of the computer and video games industry. They are responsible for the design and production of games, from the concept, to the programming and troubleshooting. You will develop the skills needed to prepare you for a career in games design and development, including coding, storyboarding and play testing.
Modules you study might include games design principles, 3D animation, computer modelling, and computer programming. Your degree will be delivered in a mixture of modes. These could include lectures and seminars, as well as group projects. Depending on your course, you may also be given the opportunity to take part in a work placement.
